On November 22, 2021, the League of Women Voters, Fremont, Newark, and Union City (LWV-FNUC) sponsored an online presentation featuring fascinating research by San Jose high school student Claire Zhu and also featuring a proven youth voter engagement model co-founded by Julie Dunkle.
Ms. Zhu’s data driven research on youth voter turnout details 5 key factors that influence youth voting behavior and how to improve youth voter turnout with 5 concrete actions. Improving youth voter engagement by registering over 7,000 young voters is a concrete solution that will be shared by Julie Dunkle, co-founder of the Youth Voter Movement (YVM). An abundance of free resources will also be shared.
Learn what the current research is telling us and how to get involved. Collaboratively, we can fundamentally improve youth voter turnout to ensure our democracy is preserved and strengthened.
